Our Firm
Ric opened his CPA office in December of 1979 at 1655 West Highland Ave in Redmond, Oregon. His previous experience included auditing, financial planning for individuals and business, tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships and estates.
Our firm specializes in individual and small to medium sized business tax returns. Accuracy and personal service are our goals. Ric feels the more successful he can make his clients, the more successful he will be.
Our People
Richard W Little, Jr. CPA: Graduated from the University of Oregon in 1972 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance and Economics. He was active in student senate and intramural sports.
An additional 1 ½ years of college work was done after graduation with an emphasis in accounting. He opened his own practice in December 1979 in Redmond, Oregon. The current location at 742 SW Forest Avenue has been used since 1989.
Ric has volunteered his services to numerous charities such as: Oregon Hunters Association, Oregon Charitable Checkoff Commission, Redmond Humane Society, Ducks Unlimited, Sundance Ski Club, 4-H, the High Desert Eagles Shooting Club, several churches, Redmond School Board and others. He has coached kids in 4 different sports.
Besides a CPA certificate issued in 1975, Ric has memberships in the following professional organizations: the AICPA, The AICPA Tax Division, a certificate for Personal Financial Planning, and the OSCPA. In addition to the Accounting and Financial Planning designations, he holds Series 7 and 66 licenses.
In addition to being active in the community, Ric has numerous hobbies. He likes to water ski, snow ski, ride horses, and of course, hunt & fish to name just a few.
Ric was drafted into the Army in 1969 and spent 14 months in Viet Nam. No Purple Hearts (they missed him) but he earned 2 Bronze Stars. Upon returning, he continued working on his college degree.
Linda Little: Staff Accountant. Joined the office staff in 1981. Graduated from high school in 1972 with 4 years perfect attendance and a member of the National Honor Society. She took college level accounting and tax classes. She is an experienced full cycle bookkeeper and tax preparer. She prepares individual, partnership and corporate tax returns.
Linda has raised 3 children, sponsored 3 foreign exchange students, volunteers for numerous charities and at school. Is a past officer for Soroptimist and ABWA. Enjoys cooking, collects cook books and depression glass.
Our History
The office opened in December 1979. Ric initially had one employee, Sue Fairchild. The office catered to individuals and small business clients. Clients were varied, however construction and farming clients made up the early majority of the business clients. As the customer base grew, Linda, Carla & Sherri were added. Sue moved away when her husband retired.
The office continues to specialize in individual and small to medium business clients. With the help of technology the office is able to provide accounting and tax services to locals and those who move out of the area. We will continue to help our clients solve their financial and tax problems, wherever they may be.
Our Credentials
Our firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA.) We adhere to the rules & procedures from these two governing bodies. Ric is a member of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Division and Tax Division.
